About Him
Loyal as a labrador. Good sense of humour. Feet on the ground but head in the clouds and a romantic at heart. Versatile, bold and uncomplicated, I enjoy interesting conversation. I have achieved my goal of retiring by the age of 40: I now spend most of my time running, swimming, reading, buying second-hand books, cooking and travelling. My biggest challenge in life is developing the perfect chocolate cake recipe!!
I run seven kilometres a day, I don't eat salt and I have a long-standing passion for imported chocolate (to be specific: Lindt and Côte d'Or). I love summer, and spend it barefoot and in as few clothes as possible. I am compulsive about books and enjoy a good movie (especially the old classics). All I really need to know in life I learnt from The Golden Girls.

Smart with your own personal sense of direction and life philosophy. Work hard but not married to your career. Urbane but able to rough it in the bush, at least for a weekend. Enjoy life and sharing it. Monogamous in a relationship, but curious and insatiable in life. Know where the best places are to buy imported chocolate. Updated ideal, 2017: Say just one original thing. Or failing that, give an interpretation at least of something original. Do not bore me with generic gossip dressed up as an opinion. Or the mindless repetition of received clichés. Have a vocabulary that you have obtained yourself over years of research and stimulate me with a mind that understands the difference between selection and combination. I have no problem with phatic communication to start or end or bridge moments in which ideas do not overlap spontaneously. But use gentleness and grace and beauty to pave the way for your ideas and mine. And so we will embrace and find each other. There, beyond the dawn.
